Mature Bride Option

A Velvet Headband with bling that I recently made for a lovely lady getting married at 60. I love the mixture of the two colours and think that to offset all the black it's nice to add the buff colour to add some contrast especially on black hair. This is a good way to add interest to your wedding day without the hassel of a full hat on head situation. My design gives you the look of a small 1940's hat without the hat! The bling is swarovski crystals added for the wow factor - in this case an opalised buff colour to match the buff velvet.

Swarovski Crystal Detail

Usually I hand make the details and thought you might like to see the gradual build up to the finished product.

I often use swarovski crystail detail in my work as it adds the 'hollywood glamour' edge to any piece. I have added some recent examples including a floral -tie-belt and a couple of green and cream headbands.

I often have to make to order various hair clips in different colours when a client orders and here are some examples of the different colour ways I have made over the past day or so. I Love the original in soft cream and pink however the white version which is for a bride is so pristine (also love the red version for the drama) - these clips are my latest design using flowers that are made for me in Europe and evoke another era. My work is often vintage inspired and here is the 1940's !! Usually I hand make the details and thought you might like to see the gradual build up to the finished product.

Aretha Franklin's Hat

Had everybody telling me how much they liked the hat Aretha wore at President Barack Obama's inauguration. I think it looked terrific and I am (as everybody else is) doing a version so stay tuned. Think at this stage my hat will be a toned down version as not everyone has the ability to carry off such a large hat - as Aretha does so well.
